If you are down in Miami Beach, either on a business trip, or for a vacation, yet you still want to get your golf game in, not only will you find the best courses in S. Florida, but you will also find the best tee times to get out and play. The courses generally open fairly early, between 4:30 and 5 AM, and will stay open pretty late, until about 9 PM. Since the weather is generally so perfect out, and the sun is always shinning, the course owners and operators, will allow players to play for later hours into the day.

You will find that all throughout Miami Beach you will find dozens of golf courses. All do offer varying tee times, but all will offer hours that you are going to love. They are generally open extended hours during the summer months, and early fall as well. But, even in the colder months, since it does not snow, nor does it ever get so cold in Miami that you can’t be outdoors, the tee times are fairly liberal to players as well. So, get your clubs, grab a few friends, and head out to the golf courses in Miami Beach.

When going to Florida, there are many activities that can be fun for you and your family. While visiting the Sunshine state, be sure to visit a golf course or two in order to experience some of the best golfing available in the United States. The following are five of the best courses in Florida:

Tiburon Golf Club can be found in Naples, Florida. Originally designed by everyone’s favorite Australian, Greg Norman, this course is a full 18 holes and sports a par of 72. Junior and senior golfers are eligible for discounts.

The Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte was designed by Gene Bates and is also an eighteen hole course with a par of 72. Furthermore, reduced rates are given to senior and junior golfers.

In Deland, Florida, the Victoria Hills Golf Club contains another wonderful 18-holes course with a standard par of 72. Of the five courses listed, this is among the cheapest at which to play.

If you are in North Port, feel free to visit the course at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club. Arthur Hills and Brian Yoder are responsible for designing this semi-private, 18-hole course which features a 72 par also.

Finally, the course at Hernando Oaks Golf Club in Brooksville is another great place to play golf. Like all of the other courses on this list, it has a par of 72 and a full 18 holes.

For those who love to golf, and want to take a getaway excursion to some of the best courses, Florida is the ultimate destination to make. You will find the most gorgeous greens, natual grass, and some turf greens as well. The state offers the largest courses, the best sand traps, and some of the best courses you are going to find in the US, and even around the world. With so many courses to choose from, golfers are going to find it dificult picking only a few to play at, while they are down in the state on vacation.Confused? Here ‘s a little help .

So, what is the most common turf used in Florida? In most of the state’s courses, it is natural grass. Due to the high amounts of precipitation, and the natural sunlight year round, golfers can enjoy playing on a natural green grass, and still get the perfect game that they would get on a turf course. The state’s abundance of sunshine makes growing the greens simple for those that have to upkeep the courses. With so much natural sun, the warm weather, and the high amounts of precipitation, maintaining these greens in Florida is an easy task for the courses.

The Miami area and Doral in particular have what seems like an overabundance of quality courses. Both locals and enthusiasts will be delighted in what Doral’s resorts have to offer.

Doral Golf Resort & Spa
Home of the famous TPC Blue Monster course, this resort has hosted the PGA for over 50 years. A challenge for even the greatest of players, the Blue Monster requires length and finesse to post a respectable score. A famous 18th hole consistently ranked in the top 100 in the world makes this one a real joy to play. Also located at the resort is the Great White, a second premier course to the area.

Costa Greens Golf Club
One of the more challenging public courses in the Miami area, Costa Greens is a challenge to players of all levels with its five par-5s containing narrow fairways and five beautiful par-3s. No reservations required and a cheap price tag for those hoping to get a game in.

Jim McLean Signature Course
Doral’s third premier course, Jim Doral’s course features three of the roughest starter holes in golf: a series of difficult par 3′s, and tricky 13th and 15th holes. The course offers five sets of tees that greatly influence course difficulty and leaving a sense of accomplishment to all who finish.
